King Louis are back after over ten years of radio silence. Nevertheless, the band never broke up. The trio with lead singer and guitarist Lee Schornoz, bassist Misses Frau Lehmann and drummer Charles Monroe rehearsed new songs, discussed whether this or that. There were always requests for concerts, but they were cancelled. In 2017 the trio produced new songs in Lee’s own studio, in 2018 guitarist Silvio Riedo joined the band as reinforcement and the new songs complement the old concept perfectly: the dark death (in „Man In Black Coat Calls For Death“) lurking on the street.
Very fitting, because now, when probably every third wealthy hobby rocker invests his financial surplus in an expensive motorcycle and equipment, especially many fatal accidents happen. Further lyrics are about love pain (in „Wastelands“), misunderstanding (in „Just A Thought“), refugees and environmental problems (in „Exodus Unlimited“) and commitment to being a rock musician (in „Good Luck After All“).
King Louis, those were the Satanists with the censored, often creepy, violent and abysmal lyrics, the hellish trio with the popular TeufelsVideo produced by director Flo Wyss and radio hit „You’ll Die“? Of course the band still plays these songs, too, of course, because there are not a few fans who love these songs and certainly don’t want to miss them at the concerts. But most of all it’s still about the powerful music, and now the new, no less striking songs have been added, which mate excellently with the old ones.
It’s still this impetuous pressure, these dirty rock and surf guitars with open chords, the rumbling bass and the hugely played drums. It’s the blues, this rawness and the angry and impressive voice of Lee Schornoz, who put their own stamp on the straight hard rock of this band.
The new songs are in studio technical editing and will be released on the label „Pro Stata Records, Warszawa, Polska“ in the course of the next year. But you will already be able to hear them in the LiveSet.

King Louis sind zurück, nach über zehn Jahren Funkstille. Dennoch hatte sich die Band nie aufgelöst. Das Trio mit dem LeadSänger und Gitarrist Lee Schornoz, der Bassistin Misses Frau Lehmann und dem Schlagzeuger Charles Monroe, probte neue Songs, diskutierte ob man dies oder jenes. Es gab immer wieder Konzertanfragen, die aber abgesagt wurden. 2017 produzierte das Trio in Lee’s eigenem Studio neue Songs, 2018 kam Gitarrist Silvio Riedo als Verstärkung ins Boot.
Die neuen Songs ergänzen das alte Konzept hervorragend: der dunkle Tod (in «Man In Black Coat Calls For Death»), der auf der Strasse lauert. Sehr passend, weil jetzt, da wohl jeder dritte wohlhabende HobbyRocker seinen finanziellen Überschuss in ein teures Motorrad und Ausrüstung investiert, besonders viele tödliche Unfälle geschehen. Weitere Texte handeln von Liebesschmerz (in «Wastelands»), UnverstandenSein (in «Just A Thought»), Flüchtlings und Umweltproblemen (in «Exodus Unlimited») und Bekenntnis zum RockmusikerDasein (in «Good Luck After All»).
King Louis, das waren doch diese Satanisten mit den zensurierten, oft gruseligen, gewalttägigen und abgrundtiefen Texten, das höllische Trio mit dem von Regisseur Flo Wyss produzierten beliebten TeufelsVideo und RadioHit «You’ll Die»? Auch diese Songs spielt die Band natürlich noch, selbstverständlich, denn es sind nicht wenige Fans, die diese Songs lieben und an den Konzerten sicherlich keinesfalls missen möchten.
Vor allem aber geht es immer noch um die druckvolle Musik, hinzugekommen sind jetzt auch die neuen, nicht minder markanten Songs, welche sich hervorragend zu den alten paaren. Noch immer ist es dieser ungestüme Druck, diese dreckigen Rock und SurfGitarren mit offenen Akkorden, der grollende Bass und die gewaltig gespielten Drums. Es ist der Blues, diese Rohheit und die wütende und eindrückliche Stimme von Lee Schornoz, welche dem gradlinigen harten Rock dieser Band einen eigenen Stempel aufdrücken.
Die neuen Songs sind in studiotechnischer Bearbeitung und werden im Verlauf des kommenden Jahres wiederum auf dem Label «Pro Stata Records, Warszawa, Polska» erscheinen. Sie werden aber bereits im LiveSet zu hören sein.
